Andre Rieu (who hails from The Netherlands) and his orchestra have been, for more than fifteen years, one of the great popularisers of classical music. Their shows - always sell-outs around the world - are a kind of Classical Spectacular - lights, camera, action, dancers, parades, balloons, bonbons... all the whizbangery and extravagance you can imagine.
Following the continued response that follows broadcasts of his TV specials, we are embarking on a whole program of Rieu - on TV and radio.
