Michael Kitchen stars as the charismatic Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle, who fights his own battles on the homefront while WWII is raging across Europe. Solve the clues and relive the drama of all seven seasons of Foyle's war in this Collection.

Season 1: Spring and summer 1940: World War II has just begun and England looks all but doomed in the face of an inevitable German invasion. Still, someone has to fight crime on the home front and who better than Christopher Foyle? Michael Kitchen (Proof Of Life, Mrs Dalloway, The World Is Not Enough) stars as the charismatic detective in this drama series of mysteries. The quietly enigmatic Foyle would much rather serve his country in the armed forces, but his superiors deem him indispensable for combating the heightening anarchy along England's south coast, where the German army is expected any day. Uncertainty, espionage, bombs and internment are the new facts of life for Foyle and those around him.Yet sometimes they merge with an old one of affluent England - murder.

Season 2: As World War II rages over Europe, Detective Chief Superintendent Foyle fights his own battle against murder, mystery and betrayal on the south coast of England. Although the beautiful countryside seems far from the glory of the front, Foyle's battle is an ordinary struggle against everyday evil in extraordinarily dangerous times. Set against the background of real events, the second series sees Foyle and his team investigating a looting racket which ends in murder, an illicit trade in fuel, a shooting during Home Guard manoeuvres, and a secret wartime hideaway. Foyle's loyalties are put to the test as his inquiries uncover unpleasant truths that powerful people would rather keep hidden.

Season 3: Touted as the new Inspector Morse, this ITV detective show stars Michael Kitchen as a police inspector frustrated at being stuck at home investigating provincial crimes during the second world war.
Honeysuckle Weeks is an inspired choice as Foyle's sidekick, a clergyman's daughter posted from the Women's Royal Army Corps to serve as his driver, and she plays the part with an admirable period style. Foyle's War opens in southern England in the year 1940 - which may seem a strangely remote period in which to place a new detective, but the setting turns out to be a means of adding moral and dramatic depth to the storylines.

Season 4 & 5: Set along the South Coast of England in the 1940s, Foyle 's War stars Michael Kitchen as Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle, the straightforward sleuth who fights his own battles on the home front while war rages across Europe.Seasons IV and V find Foyle and his team tackling a brutal death on an American Army base, uncovering secret government research after a biological warfare experiment goes awry, investigating the murder of Sgt. Milner's estranged wife, and probing the clandestine world of weapons development

Season 6: It's April 1944 and something big is about to happen. Everyone on the South Coast can just feel it. Troops and Forces vehicles are on the move in vast quantities and the Allies have stepped up their bombing campaign over Germany and it would seem the end of the war is in sight. Season 6 begins with Foyle having resigned as Detective Chief Superintendent at Hastings. DCS Meredith is the new man in charge at Hastings Police station. Fed up with the new boss, Milner has applied for a transfer. No longer needed as a police driver, Sam has also found new employment -although she's being very reluctant to tell people what the new job involves. When someone fires shots outside Hastings police station and Meredith is killed, Foyle has no choice but to return to his old job and piece together the facts

Season 7: It's July 1945 and the war in Europe is over. Britain is settling into peacetime, a new Labour Government is waiting in the wings and Foyle is eager to retire. Milner is finding his feet as the new Detective Inspector in Brighton's police force, whilst Sam seems to have lost her sense of purpose along with her uniform. The Second World War is over but the Cold War is looming with the dawning of a new era.
Season 8: The Second World War may be over - but a new one is beginning, less explosive but no less deadly - a Cold War. Foyle finds himself drawn into complex webs of security and counter security where the loyalties of even those closest to him are brought into question as he joins, somewhat unwillingly at first, the ranks of MI5.
Season 9: Includes all the episodes of this final season of Foyle's War.
