Product Description

Generation War DVD from DVD Land.

The rousing story of five adolescent people, whose friendship is supposed to last for a lifetime, but war changes everything.

Berlin 1941: five friends Wilhem, Friedhelm, Charlotte, Viktor and Greta get together in a restaurant to take leave of each other. They party and promise each other to meet up after the war which they consider a great adventure for a greater good. But they don't sense yet how much the unimaginable experiences, the harshness and the deprivations of war will change them.

Wilhelm, a level-headed highly decorated officer has to take care of his little brother who is more interested in literature and philosophy. Greta is heading for a career as a famous pop singer while Charlotte is going to work at a military hospital. Viktor, the son of a Jewish men's tailor, is caught on his way to the railway station to be deported. The experiences of friendship and betrayal, belief and disappointment, illusion and awareness, guilt, responsibility and the deep wish of being dead instead of bearing the absurd killing change their lives forever.
