Private Investigator Thomas Magnum likes the good life. How could he not when serving as the permanent 'house guest' of celebrated author Robin Masters at his luxury Hawaiian getaway in exchange for his security expertise? He takes on only cases that suit him but they usually end up bringing him face to face with drug dealers, assassins, brutal thugs and a bevy of beautiful Hawaiian ladies.

Magnum enlists the help of his ex-marine buddies T.C. and Rick when the action becomes faster than his employer's Ferrari 308 GTS, but the one constant thorn in his side is by-the-book, ex-British Army Sergeant Major Higgins, who rules the estate with a strict regime... with the aid of two Doberman Pinschers. In Season Six Magnum is off to London where he encounters a sense of déjà vu, helps in a treasure hunt for $1 million, and goes in search of an explosive dolphin with political ramifications.

The natural successor to television's Hawaii Five-0, MAGNUM, P.I. went on to become a long-running hit thanks to Tom Selleck's cheeky performance, the glamorous surroundings, action plots and comic interplay with John Hillerman as Higgins.
