Two love-starved strangers crash into each other on the one night of the year when single people are allowed to have sex.

While the rest of the city focuses on quick physical encounters, Allie and Owen search for a genuine emotional connection. The supporting cast features notable names like Maya Hawke, Molly Ringwald, and LeVar Burton.

The movie was produced on a budget of $25 million. It premiered at the SVA Theater in Manhattan on August 3, 2026, before its wide theatrical run. Critics gave the film mixed reviews, and it underperformed at the box office, grossing roughly $23 million during its theatrical run.
