When drinking ruined his baseball career, former star Sam Malone decided to take over a little bar in Boston. Soon after, first time patrons became regulars and this quaint little bar became the "place where everybody knows your name". There's Woody, a simple farm boy, Cliff, Sam's old baseball coach, and Norm, who holds the world's largest bar tab, to round out this bunch of idiosyncratic locals.
