A decent detective, in an indecent world. Peter Davison stars as the offbeat detective 'Dangerous' Davies whose gentle nature makes him the last detective his boss would assign to an important crime. With help from his gloomy and eccentric friend Mod (Sean Hughes), Davies sets out to prove his mettle and in the process unfolds a web of crimes proving that with wit and style he can crack cases better than anyone.

Adapted from the Leslie Thomas novels by screenwriter Richard Harris (A Touch of Frost, Man in a Suitcase), and also starring Emma Amos and Elizabeth Bennett, this 8-disc collection presents all 17 mysteries from Series 1-4.

Guest stars include Norman Wisdom, Leslie Phillips, Julia McKenzie, Roger Daltrey, Anthony Valentine, Stephen Tompkinson, Toby Jones, Norman Pace, Michelle Collins, Nigel Planer and Hywel Bennett.
